How this helps
Events are largely a word-of-mouth industry, and First Take is no exception. Most of our ticket purchases occur the week (and sometimes day!) of the event, which makes it difficult to get artists paid in a timely manner. If you know you want to attend First Take events consistently, making an up-front investment takes stress off the team, so they can provide you with the best possible experience!
However, we also know that showing up to every event can get expensive (trust us - we try to do it too)!
The supporter ticket gives you access to all of our events at the industry rate - a 30% savings for most events. If we end up with more than 10 events this year, that cost per ticket gets even lower 🙌
At the same time, the up-front investment provides us the capital to keep going and bring great events to the community without quite as much stress leading up to the event. It's a win-win!
How it works
- You buy the membership (hey, thanks!)
- You'll be prompted to create an account and add a password
- Within 24-hours, we'll email you redemption instructions & an instructional video for your free tickets
FAQ
What if I can't make one of the events? Can I use the "free ticket" to bring a friend to a different show?
Absolutely! Let's look at an example.
If First Take does 10 shows this year, you have 10 tickets you can use across all of those shows. If you want to use 3 for Scruffy City Sings: Pop Punk, then you have 7 left to apply across the rest of the season. Once you run out of free tickets, you'll by able to buy additional tickets at regular ticket price.
If I can't make a show, can I give my ticket to a friend? What about donating my ticket?
You can do both! Either reserve the ticket on your friend's behalf, or send us an email to admin@firsttakeco.com to let us know you're donating your ticket. We'll get it to someone who can use it!
What if a show gets cancelled - do I get a refund?
We'd hate to see a show get cancelled, but sometimes it happens. If a show is rescheduled for a day you can't make it or totally cancelled, we'll make sure to take care of you. While we can't do refunds this year, here's what we can do:
Option 1: Use the pass with your friends on another show!
Since the tickets can be used on any of our performances, use the pass and bring a friend to a different performance! We'd love to meet them.
Option 2: Donate your ticket
Every time we do a show, we end up having people stating they would have come, they just didn't have the means to purchase a ticket this time. We keep a stock of donated tickets to hand out in those instances, and every little bit helps!
